Sefton Schools Sports Academies
Sefton Schools Sports Academies work in collaboration with clubs, schools, and organisations to give children ongoing opportunities to engage in an active, healthy lifestyle — while supporting and celebrating their personal development.
Our ethos is simple.
We encourage every child to embrace their true selves, be genuine, and act authentically. We promote self-acceptance and self-expression, and want every child's personality, strengths, and quirks to shine through in all that they do with us.
We expect children and adults alike to treat others with compassion, respect, and empathy. We model and encourage thoughtful actions, words, and gestures that promote positivity, wellbeing, and a harmonious environment for everyone.
We create an environment where doing your best is “cool,” reaching your full potential is a challenge met head-on, and everyone wants to make a positive impact — in their own life and the lives of others. We want to catch every child “being great,” whilst in our care and beyond.
Inspiring Sports Coaching for Ages 7–14
Sefton Schools Sports Academies use the highest quality coaches to deliver progressive, sport-focused coaching sessions designed to develop young athletes. Every group works with our Star/Lead Coach, who brings the skills they've perfected across their own career — adding a further layer of care, inspiration, and insight into performing or coaching at the highest level.
Inspiring Sports Coaching for Elite Athletes, Ages 14–18
For older athletes ready to take their sport seriously, our elite academies offer advanced, performance-focused coaching in smaller, high-standard groups. Our Star/Lead Coaches pass on the habits, mindset and technical detail that separate good young athletes from great ones — preparing each player for the next step in their sporting journey, on and off the field.
Academies run during the school holidays and after school. Children leave with new skills and a renewed enthusiasm for their chosen sport — while parents can be reassured their children are receiving outstanding childcare.
